About This Book

The call of Elisha is dramatic. The great prophet Elijah throws his mantle onto Elisha and walks on without saying a word. From that moment, Elisha is determined to go through with God. He turns his back on everything and begins a brand-new life. Going through with God, though, is not a one-off experience. It is ongoing. If Elisha is going to live a life of faith in his apostate nation, he will have to go through with God continually.

While salvation is a one-time experience based solely on God’s Grace, and the subsequent Christian life is not based on our ‘performance,’ still, it is true that we have to make a daily decision to go through with God. Jesus put it this way: to take up our cross daily and follow Him.

Going through with God can involve different things. It can be that daily decision to consecrate our lives to Him, persevering in Christian service, praying for breakthrough, seeking more of His Spirit or laying our hearts before Him to transform us to be more like Himself. The list is endless.

I trust this book will encourage you in your daily walk as you seek to go through with God.
